Health Insurance Sales Associate

Are you a detail-oriented and customer-focused individual looking to make a difference in people's lives by helping them navigate the complexities of health insurance? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as a Health Insurance Sales Associate.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan Administration Support: Assist our individual, group, and Medicare clients in managing their health insurance plans. This includes helping them with enrollment, updating personal information, and ensuring they have the necessary documentation for their coverage.

  • Billing and Claims Assistance: Provide expert guidance to clients regarding their health insurance billing processes. Assist in resolving any billing discrepancies and work closely with insurance carriers to ensure timely and accurate claim processing.

  • Benefit Inquiries: Handle client inquiries related to their health insurance benefits, explaining coverage details, co-pays, deductibles, and other essential aspects of their plans. Ensuring clients have a clear understanding of their benefits is crucial to their overall satisfaction.

  • Quoting and Benefit Comparisons: Collaborate with the producing agent to generate quotes for potential clients and assist in conducting benefit comparisons between different insurance plans. Your attention to detail and ability to present information clearly will be invaluable in helping clients make informed decisions.

  • Client Support: Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients, providing excellent customer service throughout their insurance journey. Address any concerns or issues promptly, ensuring that clients feel supported and valued at all times.

  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with the sales and support teams to enhance overall efficiency and client satisfaction. Provide valuable insights to improve processes and deliver exceptional service. 

  • Documentation and Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records and documentation, ensuring compliance with data protection and privacy regulations.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (bachelor's degree preferred).

  • Proven experience in customer service, preferably in the insurance or healthcare industry.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex information in a clear and concise manner.

  • Detail-oriented and organized, capable of managing multiple tasks efficiently.

  • Familiarity with health insurance plans, coverage options, and claims processes is a plus, but not required. 

  • Proficiency in using computer systems and software for administrative tasks.

  • Ability to work collaboratively with a team and independently as needed.

  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to client issues.

  • A passion for helping others and a genuine interest in the health insurance field.
